Abingdon on Thames UK. An autumnal walk through the garden today. Leaves are starting to change colour. No open day this year due to the pandemic so once again I’ve left the garden to do its own thing.
My Garden Maturing Over The Last 11Years (From Above)

This short slideshow shows an above view of how my garden has matured over the last 11 years. The first picture is how the garden looked when we purchased the house in Autumn 2009(Rubbish was left behind by previous owner). The following pictures were taken in the Autumns’ of each following year and shows just how much the canopy has filled out from Autumn 2009-Autumn 2020. Abingdon on Thames, UK

This is a video of the garden taken this morning. The plants are now starting to die down and prepare for winter. We still haven’t had a frost here yet so the tender plants are still growing well. I will however, start lifting them out in a week or so’s time and potting them up to go into our house or outhouse. I have not done much ‘gardening’ here this year as because of the pandemic I have on...

A VERY QUICK walk through the garden this morning before storm Ciara got too bad. The garden looks tatty at this time of year until I do the spring clear up but it does show how the garden looks during winter. The damaged lawn will be re-turfed in spring!

Just a last walk through of the garden. I was going to start lifting a few of the tender plants today but decided not to due to the fact that it has rained most of the day. Some plants are past their best now but a lot of the plants are still looking good. I’ve not done much work in the garden for the last few weeks and I have just enjoyed spending time in it before the autumn winds and first f...

Just a quick walk around my exotic/tropical garden here in Abingdon. It’s been a tough year for the garden due to the “Beast from the East” and the hot summer. August 27th 2018 (Apologies for the jittery video. I have no idea why it did that.)

    Hi there. I absolutely love the walk around the garden. It's beautiful and peaceful, no nonsense talking, although it may sometimes be useful to know what some of the plants are. You've been very inspirational to me. Consequently, I've spent a lot of money on plants for my garden. If you have an open day, please let me know. I'd love to come and see it in the flesh. Keep up the good work. Gärtnerin Dot.

    • @Springyfeller
      @Springyfeller 6 місяців тому

      Hi Tim, it’s a very sickly Echium. I was giving it the benefit of the doubt but it eventually died. It had self seeded in that spot and it wasn’t really an ideal place for it.

      Hi Captain, due to work commitments I have hardly been in the garden this year so there won’t be a video. Hoping to be back out there a lot more next year. It has given me time to change a couple of areas that weren’t working. I also lost one or two plants during last year’s harsh winter so need to replant a couple of areas.
